There really isn't any cohesive theme for my tumblr. I tend to just reblog what I find interesting, which can be any of these things: animals (particularly cats, snakes, and parrots), feminism/anti-racism/other liberal stuff, cool art, Doctor Who, Firefly, and more. Occasionally I post stuff about my own life, generally about the animals I get to work with. I tend to blog a big mishmash of things, so don't follow me if you want to see consistent blogging, haha.

i took rose to the vet today~ of course pretty much the first thing the doctor says is “corn snakes are prone to tumors- a lot of lipomas but also really nasty cancers”
did some x rays on her to see and the most concerning lump is a very self contained bubble that was pressing into her body cavity pretty far (which explains her lack of appetite). doc also biopsied various masses and most of them were lipomas but the big lump apprently was filled with a lot of blood so we think it’s from some kind of trauma? i can’t imagine where she would have hurt herself since i always supervise her feeding and such but i guess i missed something. still waiting on lab results for her bloodwork though so we can rule out cancer for sure. but the fact that it basically just drained blood is actually really relieving because it’s pretty unlikely to be cancer!
this whole thing is really reminding me how old she is though… typical lifespan for a corn snake is about 10 years and she’s 7-8… i’ve had her since i was like 10 or 11, i dont know what im gonna do when she’s gone :(
There’s something intriguing, yet fundamentally wrong about watching chocolate bunnies melt.
I was laughing the whole time.

Logical Conclusion of the Day: Also, as noted by Redditor Hank_Scorpio_77, Batman Begins was released the year Obama was sworn in as Senator (2005).
Election over.

How Hollywood could kill movie piracy (if they wanted to) - Imgur
Yup. This is why I can’t get behind the “We should only complain about privacy issues, not the end of free downloading” side of things, however well-meaning it is. It’s not about artistic integrity, it’s about corporate profit. Also, have all movies/TV episodes available in all countries when they’re released in one country and stop putting country blocks on streaming video.
this is a good idea
censorship issues aside sopa/pipa are bad ideas for piracy anyway, hollywood/music industry have to adapt to the internet world eventually. can’t just keep passing more and more legislation to try to protect them because people will always get around it.
